Are you adventurous enough to tackle the Via Ferrata du Monts?
If you've always fancied yourself as a bit of a mountaineer, but never dared make your first climb, then Via Ferrata is for you! It gives you all the thrills of height and the effort of the climb, whilst keeping you completely safe. All this in a landscape that would be difficult to reach by any other means.
A Via Ferrata is a secure route of fixed cables set into rock faces. The route is highly varied, but always designed to help you complete the course. It includes ladders, handrails, iron steps, monkey bridges, fixed bridges and so on.
Somewhere between a hike and a climb, Via Ferrata is a pre-determined, secure route.
Equipment (provided) :
  • climbing helmet
  • climbing harness
  • a specially designed strap, fitted with two safety clips and designed to absorb shocks.
Please wear suitable shoes, such as walking boots. Don't forget to bring water.
Minimum age : 8
You do not need to have any climbing experience. Via Ferrata offers an ideal first taste of the thrills of rock climbing.
The Via Ferrata du Mont is located at the top of the Gorges des Tines at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. The route takes us along the southern face, on the right bank of the Giffre.
